Leead Shamir’s vibrant, mixed media artworks celebrate the richness and diversity of human culture. Drawing inspiration from the natural harmony of the desert and the sea, and influenced by legends and folklore encountered during her extensive travels, she weaves symbols and natural shapes to form her bold, distinctive canvases.

Shamir was trained in fine art and has been painting all her life. As well as featuring in numerous solo and collective exhibitions, she has worked in art education and collaborated with several charitable and social projects. Shamir’s dedication to exploration and innovation is reflected in her creative process. She begins with abstract shapes on canvas, then allows these to gradually evolve into recognisable objects.
